PUSH-BACK RACKING
High-density racking particularly suitable for storing large quantities of products, including across multiple stock references.
Palletised loads are stored in deep lanes according to the LIFO (Last In, First Out) principle.
This makes intensive use of space by eliminating the access aisles required by conventional systems.
Loads can be handled from the front of the lane using forklift trucks.
Compared with a drive-in system, it offers the advantage that the forklift truck does not need to enter the individual lanes.
There are two types of push-back racking:
- Push-back racking with rollers
- Push-back racking with nesting carts
Pallets are loaded by pushing back those already in each lane. This allows systems up to 5–6 pallet positions deep to be built.
